This 1973 Porsche 911T is a Canadian-market example that is finished in yellow over black and powered by a 2.4-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes staggered-width 15″ Fuchs wheels, an aftermarket front bumper, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio. The seller acquired the car in 2018 and subsequent service included an engine-out timing chain service, replacing the front shocks, brake rotors, and pads, rebuilding the steering column, and more as described below. This 911T is now offered with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a tool roll, and British Columbia registration in the seller’s name.
Currently in between Porsches. Sold my 73.5T Targa, now suffering from serious withdrawal symptoms. Attending Rennsport Reunion VI didn't really help getting over it.

    Past: '73.5T Targa, '12 991S Cab, '07 987

Radio?/ Really. I like the mods. All are high quality and easily reversed if original T values skyrocket.

Hence “in my opinion” but agreed easy fix, same with the rims.

I know a couple of the recent Ts that sold on BAT recently and I'm shaking my head at some of the results.

Indeed. Besides upping my agreed value (again), the recent results on reasonably nice Ts have got me thinking a bit.

Some questions (for my edification) on the tangerine '70 T now on BaT https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1970-porsche-911t-38/.
    1. Seller believes the Fuchs are original to car but they are 5.5x15's which would have been for 1968, and no indication of Fuchs as an option is on the COA-which can have errors, I know.
    2. VIN plate numbers don't look factory, and the plate is held on by screws. Compare the VIN plate for another T on BaT, photo 156 on this '73 T https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...911t-targa-28/.
    3. Has the engine number been massaged? Compared to photo 154 on the same '73 T the tangerine car's doesn't look the same.
Anyway, these questions have been bothering me, but I hesitate to post on BaT without opinions from some other forum members. Thanks.

So I went thru the listing....and I felt I was being sold a 14,000 mile car. I don't believe for a moment it has 14,000 miles. Too many concerns along with the ones you mention. Big one for me is the front boot being black and not shown in detail...should be body color for a 70T. Just my 2c. For whatever its worth, I have been to Ted McWilliams many times to gaze at air cooled cars. My dad would cruse the lot before we went to the Holiday House for a show and dinner which was up the street in Monroeville.

    1) look in the comments. Prior owner commented saying this car came with steel wheels originally

    2) agreed. Has been discussed in the comments. I don’t think we’ll get a satisfactory answer to dispel all doubts. Might be a benign reason - but again begs the question, why remove it in the first place? If it were sold as a driver I wouldn’t think twice about it but considering it’s already at $81,000 with 5 days to go, I doubt it will go for driver quality price.
    3) can’t comment on this.

Personally, the VIN tag would bother me too much to feel comfortable bidding the amounts that this car will likely need to hit reserve
