Thread: Glass One Piece Rear

    Glass One Piece Rear

Anyone got any suggestions as to the very best fitting of one piece rear bumpers? What I'm looking for has no cutouts for exhaust. I want to cut that area out myself to accomodate a pair of Supertrapps on a shortened header system. Who do ya like as a mfg/supplier of these things. I see them cheap on Rennsport website (I think that's the name) Anyone got a setup like this they want to share a pic with? My upcoming winter project is to play with my rear end...

    Paul,
Could you tell me more about the supertrapps and shortened headers??
I'm looking to do the same setup myself.
Which Supertrapp # are you using?
Are you going to cut off the 'street adaptor' section on the headers?

In my opinion Getty Design offer the best quality grp parts for 911's - I fitted one of their carbon fibre engine lids to my 911R-inspired car & it required no preparation whatsoever prior to painting.

Hi Gilbert...the gameplan is to take a pair of Bursch headers and remove 6" at the flange end to shorten it. I want the supertrapps to only stick out past the bumper a short amount, not like a foot or more. I already have them (used off a track car) and don't know the number on it, but will look. I'm going to get a new set of headers anyways so figured these would be good for an experiment. The sound should be awesome.

Here's a shot of the s/s megaphones on my 911R-inspired car - shortly to be replaced with a more authentic 911R system:

Paul... I had nothing but problems with my Rennsport glass for my 914-6/GT.

See if you can find Mark Bartosh. He advertises in the back of Pano (classifieds). His glass is the best I've seen for the money. Can be hard to get a hold of though

Need to make a clarification and correction.

    Rennspeed - http://www.rennspd.com/

Rennsport (Steve) is good people. Not sure if they sell glass but I was thinking of Rennspeed.

Mark is still a good supplier though...

Ya Eric, that's the place I was originally wondering about. Sorry if I named it incorrectly. Had been eyeballing that rear bumper for a couple years now and figured I should ask. I really wanna get a nice piece for the rear and not have a ton of fitment issues. Will be going after a glass hood, fenders and engine cover as well.
