Tried to find something really exciting but didn't find anything special with the exception perhaps of Siffert's 917 steering wheel....

I spent a bit of time researching SCRSs last night. From my understanding they are 1984 models built with the early 3.0SC based motor for class reasons. Peter Kitchat of Toad Hall Racing has WP0ZZZ.91.ZES.110008 the E denoting a 1984 model. The Bonhams car appears to be WP0ZZZ.91.ZDS.101854. I saw this car back in 2000 and although I didn't inspect it closely it did have a sunroof, and if you check out the interior shot on the Bonhams it looks remarkably stock! None of the 20 genuine SCRSs had sunroofs. I suspect this may be a marketing look-alike commissioned by Prodrive and built by Franciss Tuthill. You didn't like the 83 SC-RS?

I agree probably a marketing mock up, chassis and engine numbers are for an '83 RoW Coupe. No seam welds in the shell pic, an SC engine, CIS et al, and the centre console and carpets! They have a blinkin' cheek advertising it as an SC RS IMO.
There is an 'SC RS' in the sale though, a car built from factory parts which raced at Le Mans - the one Russell Edmond brought to Essen. Estimate is £75k, which I think is an interesting price for an ex-Le Mans 911 with papers (but then I am seriously biased here LOL).

That car has been on the market for a loooong time. It was at the auction at CLM last year, with a guide of well over £125K, now with a guide price that makes it almost attractive! I saw this car down at GCS whem Jez was fettling it, it makes an awesome noise. As you say, not a genuine SCRS, but it would cost at least £75K to build

Hi Nick,
Nice article on you in the above UK magazine this month!

The SC rally sold for GBP 33.000 plus premium, the Le Mans SC didn't sell....
Just as a follow-up: I saw this car (the Rothmans-a-like) a couple of days ago, and it is something someone has stickered up - not an SC RS. It was actually listed as an SC Rally Coupe. £33K is a huge chunk of money for the car.Originally Posted by Milou
