Vent wings on a 71 coupe

I noticed open vent windows in the doors of this car on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA:IT&ih=014

I thought that the opening vent wings on coupes ended in 69. Is this correct?

It's got early window frames...which, by the way, I am looking for if anyone has a decent set.

But Targas never had a "full" window frame...

I have a 73 Targa, and I had 67, 72 and 73 coupes (at different times). This is probably why I noticed. The vent wings are great on a hot day. Nice backdate on the 71, I'd say.

I’ve been adding wind wings, vents to my 1971. They are mostly 68 parts, with a 67 locking lever.
It takes a while to find the parts, and the price is high, I think it’ll add to comfort.
I found many smaller parts in Germany, that were no longer available in USA.
I got the glass and some other small parts from a helpful registry member.

I’m currently replacing my roll up window, and waiting for the new glass to arrive.

Seems like an opportunity for someone to make a high quality wind wings kit for LWB coupe’s. I would love them on my ‘72 coupe.
