All Porsche Date Night this Saturday, July 21st UPDATE!

1st Annual All Porsche Date Night and Car Show

    ________________________________________
    Date: Saturday, July 21, 2007

    Location: Enderle Center

    Time: 4:00 PM - ?

Car placement: Arrive at 4:00 PM and be prepared to enter on the Vandenberg Lane side (http://www.enderlecenter.com/map_local.htm) of the center. We let as many Porsche’s in as we can, but we will close the entrance to the show at 5:00 PM. We have space for 150 cars and we expect it to be tight. Get there early and tell your Porsche friends to come too!

This is the 1st Annual All Porsche Date Night and Car Show. It will be held in the heart of Orange County at Enderle Center in Tustin and here's what is planned.

The cornerstone of the event will be the people's choice car show. Any Porsche can enter, from the earliest 356 to the latest Porsche has to offer. Each car entered will receive a ballot and judging is purely people's choice. The Mayor, Fire Chief and Police Chief will present special awards on behalf of the City of Tustin and there will be several other special awards given out as well. Divisions are set for all Porsche's from 1948-2008.

The upscale merchants in Enderle Center are giving all the car show participant discounts off anything purchased at the center that evening! So, your date can do a little shopping while you fender fondle and then, you can get together with your Porsche friends and have dinner in any of the centers 6 great restaurants (Check out http://www.enderlecenter.com for their menus).

There is a $20 donation at the gate per car made to participate. 100% will go to the Tustin Boys and Girls Club. Newport Auto Center (Porsche) will be there with an awesome new car display and there will be live music. Of course, the PCA, 911S Registry, R-Gruppe, 356 Club and 912 Registry all have reserved sections for parking.

So, bring your Porsche, your date and a great mid summer attitude down to Enderle Center and show off your stuff and have a great time too!

Driving the Porsche up to the Bay Area tomorrow... was invited to the PIXAR annual 'Motorama' enployee car show on Friday.. might stay over another night and see what EASY Parts is up to Saturday morning... then head back down home...

All this to say I don't think I'll have the steam to make Tustin by 4:00 PM on Saturday bud.....

Have fun and take lots of pics,

    Cheers,

    it was FUN

    Jeff,

THANKS for another fun event you coordinated. I REALLY liked the idea of a car show at 6 in the evening vs. 6 in the morning.

Although the Early 911's were not there in numbers, we did take home some trophies. Congrats to Paul K., (the cow) Rob J. (his Irish Green 914) for winning Peoples Choice in their catagories..

I am sure this will be a popular annual event..

It was fun! 107 cars supported the event. Not bad for a first time event. We have room for 155. Better sound system next year and a little more organized gate to get them in and it should be a lot better.

Weak turn out of both 912 and early 911 cars, but the PCA and 356 Club each showed up big time. All were rewared with a good time in a different setting. Hope to see you next year.
