    Blackhawk collection seat identification

As I think of stuff to do Friday night in Monterey I see this 911E that will be for sale in the Blackhawk collection. My question is are the seats (which I love and would look perfect in my '67") original '73's? Can some of the after market folks (example:gts classics) make a set like these? Would they "just be wrong" in my 67?

    Cheers
    Dave

Amazing! I went to the Blackhawk site to check out the '73E, and to my amazement, I see my ex-RSR in their inventory!!! Sure looks a lot better now than when last I saw it in '86 after doing the 12 HR.; the last time it raced.

Oh, btw, the '73E seats look great....

    Yes!

I have the houndstooth in sport seats in an original 73E.They came from the Factory.Hope Dale Thero doesn`t find out the asking price on that car.I saw it in Denver when it was getting a PPI in the 90`s for someone else.Sale price then was 30 something. They want 160K for it now.Note the engine-turned kick plates on the map pockets.

Those are correct 73 sport seats. The 67 version would typically have no headrests, though there was an option for a headrest that mounted on the back of the seat, 356 style.

The fabric insert is the tan/black/white houndstooth, and is available from Autobahn Interiors in San Diego. Tony can be reached at 951 634-6480.

Here's a thread with some seats done with the cloth

Too late Tom - I've already seen it.

That's what happens with "original" cars.

I see they have removed the threshold plates on both sides!!

    Oh well!!

    Houndstooth seats

Tony is in the process of making up a set of early seats for me in that same houndstooth fabric and light tan German vinyl for my '67. I can't wait to see how they turn out.

I'll post some pictures when the job is done.

If a guy had a sport seat, drivers side, that needed all the work done,

How much would it be worth in the condition it is currently in??
