Smile Orange hood crest - how to spot a replica?

Hi, as I'm looking for an original early orange hood crest for my 911, I was wondering if anyone could post a picture of a genuine one, as oposed to a replica made now.
What should be the main differences to look out for?
Also, any idea of prices involved? What should be a reasonable price?
    Thanks,
    Vasco Ricardo

Hi Thanks, I noticed that the rear texture is different.
The genuine ones should have NO texture, right?

Mine does not, but I am not sure on the variations. It looks idential to the second set of pictures.

I'll leave that for an bright work & emblem expert.

    Nos???

Well the fellow selling them as NOS on ebay has been pointed out (Busted) as selling badges he has restored! He has one listed almost continously and how could he have soooo many? I get agrivated every time I see his listing. His final sale prices are going down so enough folks are figuring it out. They are re-gold plated and he used to even try to sell them in a repro Blister pack. Notice how his auctions are all "private".
