72T Sportmatic HP VS Standard HP

O.K. I've been confused before. I have a 72T with MFI and was originally a sportmatic. The engine is a 911/61. in Wayne's engine rebuild book (page 201) shows a 911/61 haveing 165 hp, same as the E. In Bruce's book he shows a 911/61 being the same hp as the 51 140 hp. Was the sportos using E cams or p/c?

I can't imagine the Sporto T got the same power as the E, otherwise why would anyone buy a Sporto E? Surely its a mistake in Wayne's book.

I think a mistake as well. Everywhere I look has the same 140 #s. I think someone bumped this engine in hp. It pulls strong in the higher rpms and has the tensioner update. With no paperwork, I won't know for sure until I take it apart.
