    2.2 rear window decal

What do you think? Keep ratty original, or replace with the new one from Porsche. I'm torn, I have had the new one sitting for 6 months, can't decide. Has anyone replaced theirs? I think the replacement is an adhesive, while the original is a water transfer, please correct me if I am mistaken.....Or if you think, I should just find something better to occupy my time. Thanks guys

Don't change it, it contributes to the patina of the car and its originality. I had to replace it as the original was gone but kept the Weltmeister one:

I was faced with the same decision when I bought a '70E with a weathered 2,2 decal. I decided to leave it as it seem to really fit the rest of the car.

I would absolutely leave it, however, I wonder if there is a way to "clear coat" it so that it won't further deteriorate. The decal on my '73 was in approx. that shape about 15 yrs. ago, but eventually flaked off. In retrospect, I wish I had preserved the originality when I could.

Leave it. Patina, patina, patina. It is in actually pretty good condition for its age and looks great.

    Patina!
Wish mine was still there. The new ones are almost too vivid. I might try to fade a new one before installation.
I love my faded Weltmeister and old PCA stickers on the winshield
