    65 911 @ $72,500

I just noticed this sale reported in the Sept issue of Sports Car Market. Condition was reported as #2 by their show standards. The sale was conducted by Christies at the Greenwich CT. Concours June 3 2007. The pre sale estimate ( by Christies "experts") was $25 to $35K. It goes on to say this is not a misprint although the comments by SMC consider it overpriced ( no surprise there as they publish a price guide that has Porsches, in some cases, at 50% of current trends ) and should serve as a wake up call that these early 911 Porsches have fully arrived on the collector car scene.

Famous quote "You never pay to much, you just buy too soon" also means a better selection from which to choose but the extra time of enjoying the ride instead of the being assigned the adage of, it costs lots to enjoy or "you have to pay for the ride" etc etc.
