San Fansico Bay Area Porsche Shop Recomendations...

    Hi All,

I am looking for a reputable shop in the Bay Area that specializes in older Porsche 911s (Pre 74) to do a PPI....Any recommendations would be appreciated....I'm in Canada and there is only so much I can gather from pictures/emails, so I need an unbiased opinion

If there are any members willing to have a look at a car for me also, I would really appreciate that too....Please pm me....

    Thanking you in advance....

found this in the search might help.

Go to http://www.pca-ggr.org/localmech.cgi. The local PCA lists many shops in the Bay Area, including Kahlers in Dublin,

I also recommend Alan at the Stable, close to downtown SF.

I had a new engine, and was on my way to Monterey. I pulled into Alan's shop for an oil change, and he did it on the spot and didn't charge me a dime.... Had a great time while I was there looking over all the machinery, many 356's and early 911's, and there happened to be a 906 in there at the time.

    regards,
    Eric
