    Wink 911 sold at Monterey

    Not a bad week....:

    1. 2.7 Carrera RS 1973 Non matching numbers (new engine) ex Otis Chandler:

    USD 271.000



    2. 3.0 RSR ex Brumos:

    USD 891.000 (an auction record for a 911?)



    3. 2.0 911S 1968 matching numbers:

    USD 63.800

    Cannot download the image from the Gooding Auction site

    4. 1972 911 2.4E with Webers

    USD 41.250



    5. 1971 911T RSR recreation!

    USD 16.500



    6. 1974 Carrera Targa

    USD 38.000



    7. Not a 911 but a 917K Recreation (!)

    Just a reminder to anyone just looking at this thread and not the other longer thread about RS 866, the case for that car is the original one to the car and not a restamped replacement one. Seems like the buyer didn't get caught up in the rumor about this engine based on the final price.

    So.....the RS was a nice numbers matching?......what serial?

    Car #5 was for sale locally in the Notheast for $9500 for a long time. Either the owner caught a break and finally sold - or someone shipped it and flipped it.

    And #5 was also on eBay numerous times with no sale at about $10K if I remember correctly...

    For the ex Otis Chandler RS, the catalogue note specified that the engine was a non-matching number.
