New Rubber Covers for Blinker and W/Washer

Pelican just emailed me that today I will be receiving my replacement rubber covers for the turn signal and windshield washer stalks.

Do anyone have any experience replacing these. I have found the removal difficult but doable. How has the install gone? What glue did you use and what prep work did you do.

    Thanks,

    Left Coast Dave

Got the rubber covers today. 901.552.852.00. OEM Porsche.

Seems to be very poor QC. I'll have to trim off the lines left from the mold, and the rubber does not, at this point, seem to be as black as the original.

Interesting. How was the trimming? I seem to recall these are smooth in texture (although mine are old and may have been worn smooth by years of usage). Your best bet may be to sand them with fine grit wt sand paper to get the surface finsih you want. A buffing wheel with plastic polish would finish them up well, I'd bet. Lots of work.

I HATE REPRO PARTS. They are always a disappointment.
