    Thumbs up Davey's BB-Q

    Last Sunday I went to my good friend Davey Jordan’s’ house and garage for his 3rd annual BB-Q up in mountains in Running Springs CA

    Davey and his friends are of the generation just before mine and made their armature, semi-pro, and professional careers racing the local, nation, and international tracks from the late 50’s through the mid 70’s … and a few into the 80’s … and a couple are still ‘hired guns’ for some of the vintage owners who are a little too intimidated with their machinery to get the most out of them…….

    The weather was great, the food was wonderful, and the company couldn’t have been any better……The guest included Roger Bursch, Scooter Patrick, Tony Adamowicz, John Morton, and more……

    I felt privileged just to be there……

    Davey has his own 914 project he's been working on.... on his own hand made rotisserie.... the 914's name is Kermit.......

    Maker of Porsche exhaust, former owner of Scientific Automotive........ and the man who prepped Allen Johnson's new '67 and '68 911S's for racing...

    BTW- Roger showed us the gear chart he set up for Johnson's winning Daytona drive in '68.......

    Scooter Patrick....

    Besides all the U.S. stuff......
    Scooter drove a 908 long tall with Gerhard Minter for the factory........

    When I saw Scooter he was always one of the toughest racers on any track...
