Arturo Keller Collection - Sonoma - CSRG Race Weekend

To date two Pebble Beach Overall Winners have come from this group of cars. Those that are in the know have marveled at the size and quality of this collection. It consists of seven buildings, each dedicated to a single marque.

The Classic Sports Racing Group has arranged to hold a charity dinner in the collection Friday October 12th as part of its weekend racing event at Infineon Raceway. The guest speaker for this evening is Mr. Parnelli Jones. Tickets are not cheap but it may be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Proceeds from the events of the entire weekend are destined to Speedway Children's Charities.

Here's an extract from the Press Release on the Keller Collection Dinner.

"On Friday, October 12th in an effort to further the momentum of last year’s donation of $84K to the Sonoma County chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities, CSRG will host a $250-a-plate dinner at Arturo Keller’s fabulous automotive collection located at Keller Estate Winery in Sonoma. This once in a lifetime opportunity will be further enhanced by our guest speaker, Indy-winner and racing legend, Parnelli Jones."

You can find more details on the weekend at the CSRG web site. http://www.csrgracing.org/charitymaincsrg.html

Last year there were about 260 entries in 7 races. This years featured run groups are Formula Jr., Historic NASCAR (Drum Braked "real" stock cars from the '60s and '70s) along with the usual 6 groups of CSRG racers ranging from pre-war to late 60's Formula, Sports Racing and Production Cars.

Tickets for the General Public (including paddock access) are only $20.00 per day for Saturday and Sunday. Please join us if you can.

    Must See

2 years ago, Duanne and Charlie Hyatt organized a small group for a Arturo Keller tour.

NO one could believe the cars they saw in his collection...I'll leave it at that.

If you can make it, go.

I second Ray's comment. Amazing beyond description.

You'll be picking your jaw up off the floor when you enter the "Mercedes Room" - and that's just one of 'em.
