    Thumbs up Fab Fifties Concour...

My good friend Davey Jordan asked me to put this on our board...

I attended this deal last year when it was at Shelby's in Torrance with Lars, and Will S. and it was OVER THE TOP !!!!!
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ad.php?t=13241

This year is at a MUCH bigger venue ... SO... If there's enough interest, we could maybe do a separate SRegistry/RGruppe display area.........

Anyway, it's $40 to display which includes 2 admissions... or $7 to attend...OR... If you have a '50's vintage race car ALL THE BETTER!!!

Please e-mail Davey ... and let me know on this thread as well

    Cheers,

Our Concours is starting to move in high gear! Phil Hill will be the Honorary Chairman and present the Phil Hill Best of show trophy. The Celebrity Judge list is growing and it includes Tony AtoZ, Bob Bondurant, Jim Gessner, Jerry Grant, Dick Guldstrand, John Morton, Dan Parkinson, Scooter Patrick, Don Pike, Jim Rowe and Bill Watkins. We are still working on getting a few more famous drivers and personalities.

The Fab. Fifties Concours d'Provenance will be held at the South Coast Botanic Garden on Sat.Oct. 27th 2007. The address is 26300 Crenshaw blvd. Palos Verdes Peninsula Ca. If you have a car that raced in the 50s or 60s or the same make and model that raced, come show it !! For an entry form call Davey or Norma Jordan at (909) 867-7998 or E mail daveynormajordan@hughes.net. To spectate the show just come to the Garden's ticket gate and buy a $7.00 ticket. The Senior and children's price is less. All proceeds benifit the South Coast Botanic Garden.

    All The Best, Davey

Thumbs up This was an event to remember...

The venue was PERFECT with the Concours on the lawn surrounded by a public garden...

A small intimate show with each car in the concour historically significant...

Most all of the great drivers who were on the bill were there, however Phil Hill was unfortunately not able to make it...

Next year the Fabulous Fifties will have this same venue, and will again be an event not to miss...

    Don Pike and Scooter Patrick...

I remember these guys beating up on each in 911's every chance they could get...
Or more correctly, every chance they could win for the dealerships they drove for. These were just two of the 'local gladiators' that were paid to win so their employer would sell more cars the following Monday...

… Man, it was wonderful to watch ...
