I have a '73 911 and want to install through the horn grill driving lights. Where can I get black pre-cut horn grills or a pattern to cut them myself? Thanks for your help.

The black is wrong for any year, and they look stupid, that is the supersession part that replace the chrome ones. I know half the people here will argue....blah blah blah. If you want black do it, like I said its wrong. Thats right even the 73 used the chrome grills with the through the grills. My advise, make your own from standard chrome ones.
I noticed a set on ebay for lights and black grills starting at $300. I grills someone must have cut because they did not look OEM cut at all. Also search the 912 registry. One of the guys had a template he made for this.

Hello,
Would these help for the DIY?
I can take some more photo for you.

Your pictures are great. Could you send them again with a ruler along the top or bottom edge. I could get the proportions from the current pictures, but I'd rather measure twice before I cut once. Thanks for your efforts.
Mihalkog, I've already got templates off my factory grills. Send me an email and I can mail you a set.

I think I'm one of the very few people that has not cut my horn grills when I installed my driving lights. I had just purchased a brand new set from Stoddard and they looked so nice that I couldn't bare to cut them up.
Although it does take a lot more work to install the driving lights this way since there is very limited access to the light bracket. I'll post some pics tomorrow of what my setup looks like.
Thanks to the fantastic pictures provided by BURINT and my Dremel, I'm now the proud owner of a set of driving light friendly horn grills. You guys and the internet are great!!
