    Want a change

I have the dealer installed Amco bars front and back and would like to go back to std. bumper guards. Anyone have nice condition 70 S fronts and rears they would like to sell or swap for mine with the amco bars? How are the new guards sold by Stoddard etc ?

Just remove the bars and keep them, live w/ the holes or buy new bumperettes.

Get the holes welded up and rechrome the bumperettes, you won't see a thing!

    Boxster 03,

If you need some "Hole Plugs" you can get them from Mid Fifty F-100 Parts 1-800-252-1956. They are located in Golden Valley, AZ.

The "Hole Plugs" are listed on page 99 of their 2007 Catalog.

They are "Nickel plated and come in sets of different sizes for #5.00/set.
    Small 2 each 1/4", 3/8", 7/16" Part # 80218-SM
    Medium 2 each 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" Part# 80218-MD
    Large 2 each 7/8" & 1" Part # 80218-LG

There is also a "Black Plastic Assortment" for $3.50/set
    6 each 3/8", 6 each 5/8" & 6 each 3/4" Part# 80219

This may help if you want to "Plug" the holes

    Stoddard

Don't bother with the Stoddard guard, I purchased some plain chrome ones, what a disappointment the finish had so many burs on it that it was actually catching on the polishing cloth. I thought about using them until I had them rechromed, but the mounting brackets were not lined up correctly, Junk! I bought one of their orange crests, the gold plating was bubbled right in the center of the shield. I didn't think to inspect every thing I purchased when I received it, so they refused to accept a return. Their QC has gone down the tubes.
