Cibie Oscar Driving Lights - Fender Mount

I recently purchased some Cibie Oscar lights described as fender mount.
I am restoring real RS #406, and have some bonnet mounted lights [
there is evidence on the bonnet of the repaired holes where these lights
    were previously mounted ]
Can anyone tell me how these fender mounted lights were fitted- I
hoped they might mount through the grilles.
The glass on these is concave , whereas the hood mounts are convex.
Also the chrome ring on the fender mounts are more angled than the
hood mounts, althought the glass diameter is identical.

Hello David, if you go to the rgruppe website, scroll down to Treffen 07 San Luis Obispo pics, you will see pic#01 has the Cibie baby Oscars mounted on the fender, likewise if you scroll down to pic#44 ( my car ) you will notice the same Cibie baby Oscars mounted thru the grille and a pair of the proper hood mounted Cibies. If you want to mount your Oscars like mine, you would need the thru the grille bracket AND an extension piece to properly mount those bad boys !

    Hope this helps !

I like the way yours are mounted- do you know where I can get hold of the grille bracket and extension.

Sycip Designs who makes the replica TTG brackets will have new ones made in a weeks time I am told, they go for a $100.00 a pair OR you may post on the WTB section if some folks have them stashed away. The extension is a plain L bracket from your local hardware store.
