    WTB: Original Ducktail

I suppose this is in the near unobtainium department, but I would really like to find an original ducktail for my newly acquired '74 Euro Carrera. I can pay cash, or I also have a pristine aluminum decklid from a 911S that I could trade in part.

If I can't find an original one, which repro's are the best?

    Thanks,
    John

    decklids

Sonjay on the bird site can put a burzel on your original steel decklid and make it look good too.

Russian Blue has one and he is in Oregon too! He posted last week that he might be interested in selling it, the title started out price check on aisle 4 and then something about rs parts.

The tail that Alex (Russian Blue) has is an aluminum frame part which is for a homologation Carrera RS. It will be too expensive and not correct for John's Carrera 2.7.

The tails made by Sonjay on Pelican are nice but not totally correct, especially in the latch brace region.

    John,

I would continue to ask around and keep an eye on eBay for one to pop up. I think if are patient you can find an original one. Which is more fun to find and put on the car than a repro IMHO.

I also have one of Sonjay's tails, and am happy. I would hold you over until you find the correct one.

    Hi John,

Try this guy in Norway: http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/vie...light=ducktail
850 Euros is not too bad, only it needs a lot of work!

    Hi Tom...

Thanks for your offer -- and to everyone else who responded. I found an original tail from a '74 Carrera that is on the way.

    Great list!

    Cheers,
    John
