Very Early 1965 Motor For Sale

Type number 901/01, serial number #900836. This motor is currently sitting in an early 912 sporting a 7,200 RPM '67S tach. I point this out only to give an idea as to what might be inside this case. I have no prior knowledge on the car or the engine. There is no induction, but it does come w/ heat exchangers and exhaust. The motor will need to be completely rebuilt.$3,200.00 plus freight. jpnorthwood@aol.com

Does that car happen to have the 901/0 transmission in it?

The trani is a 902/1. I guess it should be sold together with the motor.

BTW... Take a look at the 911 engine mounting points in this 912. Don't these look like they are factory original? Why don't I see where the old 4 cyl. mounts were? I don't know much about 912's and I don't understand how this could be done.

The early 912's used the same mounts as a 911 they later changed it do to vibration complants.

    Hi
Just wanted to ask if the 67S 7200rpm tach is for sale? Thanks, Kjell T Brekka - Oslo

If I don't sell this one, I believe I have another tucked away. I will look for it. Email me at jpnorthwood@aol.com please with a reminder.

Interested in the engine, but I am worried about some of the things that other Porsche people have said about their dealings with you. Sorry to be blunt, but I can't afford to be ripped off at this stage in the game. There seem to be some pretty harsh accusations thrown around on the Pelican forums.

I don't mind bluntness, but what are you talking about? If this motor sells, it gets delivered to the buyer by me or via motor freight.
