    911R Brakes

We are just starting work on building a 911R Replica and I am interested to find some information on the brake calipers fitted to the R.

Elevenparts in Switzerland have a set of Aluminium calipers advertised on their website which are said to be from a 911|R but none of the other information I have found gives any good detail with regard to the braking system.

Does anyone have any detailed information that they would be prepared to share.

    Thanks and regards

    Chris

    Chris,

    http://www.pbase.com/9146gt/gt_alloy_calipers

The link is to Armando's site...with a pretty good narative on what was used on the 914/6 GT's...alot used the 908 calipers, some used standard 911S calipers...

I have no idea what this means for the 911R, but, I thought it might help.

    R Brakes

R used same brakes as series 911S in 1967, vented rotors.

    Part #s

Here are the part numbers Porsche supplied to the SCCA for the 911s brakes (which were considered as options for all 911 models for SCCA racing in 1967)

    901.351.043/4.20 - Large brake caliper – front
    901.352.043/4.20 - Large brake caliper – rear
    904.352.401.10 - 288mm rear disc brakes

I believe these are the brakes to which Ernie was referring.

    Hi Ernie,
I have already lots of pictures about 911R, but i don't have any of front or rear wheel mounting, (arms, suspensions, brakes, ...)
Could you please send me some ? If needed , i'll give you my email adress by private message.
You mentionned that brakes are 911S one, what about "the master cylinder".
    P.S:Sorry for my pour english,
