Grady Clay is coming to L.A. (cross post from Pelican)

When I spoke with a couple of prominent Early S members recently, I found that the word has not gotten around completely. If you are interested in meeting and welcoming Grady to SoCal after his long time absence, please visit the Pelican thread .

Sorry for the cross post (I hate them myself), but I didn't want anyone to miss out that otherwise would want to catch up with Grady.

Grady and Milt are planning to be in the Pasadena area this weekend. See the link for details.

Follow Milt's link for map and details.

Meeting time is approx. 3pm on Sat. (10-13). Milt will call when they're on the road. Brewskis afterwords at a nearby eatery.

If it helps with last minute scheduling, I'll post his call when I receive it.

Here's a Google map of our meeting location on 240 N. Grand Ave. It's just north of the 134 Fwy off of Orange Grove Blvd. A few blocks away is the famous Green & Green Gamble House.

Afterwards, one option for a place to accommodate whomever shows is Crown City Brewery. They have food too. 300 S. Raymond. Here's a route from the house to the brewski (blue line):

At the corner of Del Mar and Fair Oaks Ave. is the local Aston Martin dealer. Two blocks past, on the right is the parking lot for Crown City Brewery.

Check the Pelican link for last second news.

    Status report:
Just checked in with Grady. They're leaving the south bay soon. ETA around 3pm.

After checking with the brewery, we'll have to play it by ear. They expect a large crowd to watch today's game (Cal vs UCLA) @ 4pm.
