Which type Locking or unlocking? Seems to me locking was a US item with the longer key and the shorter key/unlocking was available in other countries - correct me if I'm wrong.

no locking in 1967
Check with Dave Aase I got one from him (NOS) a few years ago but they were going fast.

Hi Andy,
thanks for the offer, but I am looking for the US 66-68 version without the steering column lock.
Anyone else have what I am looking for?
Thanks!
Anthony
Unless I'm mistaken that is not an ignition switch that locks the column.

Anthony the one I offered is the non-steering lock version - this is the other (steering lock) type:

Reading Brett Johnson's book it sounds like 69-71 ignition switches were different from 66-68 ones. Can anyone please shed some light on this please? I already have the wrong switch in my car now, and I don't want to go to the effort of installing another one that again turns out to be incorrect.
thanks!
Anthony
My 69 still uses the small key, no fob.
Mine is identical as that pictured in the first photo and as used on 356's. Somewhere between or during the 70 model year (I think) they went to a large trapezoidal plastic covered fob...
