Thumbs up Cocomats: center piece finally available.

As requested from several members (including dimension info trough one member) and many phone calls/e-mails from my part too, Jeff from cocomats.com confirmed he is finally able to furnish and sell a cocomats center piece for early 911’s 2.0/2.2/2.4litre models.
Jeff was very kind to send me the final “prototype-0 serie”. (thank you !)
It just looks superb and completes the period look.

I am aware its slightly incorrect to historic cocomats. (gear hole/strap system was originally different).
However, it looks great and fits perfect with current front/rear floor mats already available.

    New item does have:
-cut-out hole for gear lever specified for 2.0/2.2 or 2.4 dimension.
(1965/66 2.0 cars with separate front heater flap need probably advise cocomats for another custom design)
-a strap system for 4 Velcro bands. (their position might need to be revised)
-no rubber rear side to bend easy over center hump between seat rails and front wall.

Pics are showing new cocomat item installed with front floor mats in my 2.2 1971 car.
    (color version Nr.53 - black/grey dots).

Thats cool. Im sure that somebody crafty can make the leather strappys to retro-fit.

What about the rear piece though?

I sent cocomats last week my nearly new set of OEM coco mats with both the front and back seat piece. I was told they will be making them up as well, they just needed to work on them. The new center mats will probably not have the "snaps" to hold it in place but with the newer heavier cocomats a small strap should work.
I am waiting for my new set in the next week or two..............
    Regards,
    Mark

If Cocomats.com is producing a rear mat as well thats even better.
I learned only recently there was originally one available too.
