Porsches & Family - the last few weekends

I am very lucky to have a wife and kids that enjoy my hobby's or at least tolerate them to some extent. Over the last few weekends I have been able to get out with the 71 and the family together.

Two weekends ago was the SB PCA Regions Concourse at SBCC. It was lightly attended but still fun. I was able to take my daughter for a drive and then meet up with the rest of the family at SBCC to few the great Porsches on display.

Here are few shots from that morning.

An interesting early 911 with engine lid mods and SS targa top

    continued

This past weekend my oldest son and I did our own version of Cars & Coffee and took a nice long drive on Sunday thru the SB foothills. Here are a few from that along with a short video with a new camera angle

Then we finished up the day with some of the best tri-Tip sandwiches on the planet @ Cold Springs Tavern

All in all a great couple of weekends for me and the fam.

    Great family stuff

So what happened to those Carerra GT's

Guess they weren't that great a car after all

Wonder how much the R&D for those (insert noun here) cost Porsche

Better move on to 4 door sedans and suv's

    Words of warning:

I grew up in and around these cars, and look at how WONDERFUL I turned out.

Enjoy the moments while you can, gentleman, pretty soon they'll be asking for the keys.

My Cdn. Silver Wheels insurance clearly states the driver must have at least 10 years driving experience....hehe...rules out my 17 yr old for a while huh?

My 10 year old in that picture with his mug chomping on the tri-tip has already asked for the keys also! Cant say that I blame him as I learned to drive when I was 11. 3 on the tree baby was the bomb! All 3 of my kids get plenty of time in the car and have been known to ride on my lap and steer around the block.

Marco if my kids turn out half as good as you Ill be a happy camper.

    Hi Dan,

Sounds like you had fun. It's a plus when you can include the family. You might have to buy a Porsche project for your son to keep him occupied... So he won't be asking for your keys.

My daughter likes a Porsche ride around the block when my wife is not looking.

    Thanks for sharing.
