    Ummmm, yeah.....

And they didn't even buy the tip brackets from the other auction that the seller had..... which went for $1200+, which wasn't too bad...

Sounds like the 10K was a bogus bid, seller wants $4500 for seats. The fabric does not look correct to me which is no big deal.

He wants $4500 for the seats, and he got $1200+ for the brackets....., the seats looked ok, but that means over $5700 for a set of "drivers"....

    Interesting......

    Erik,

Did you look at those seats in person? Was that original material on them or an incorrect redo?

If you look at the bid history the two top bidders tried to outsmart each other and it backfired. Now the seller has shot himself in the foot by selling the brackets without the seats. Unlikely the seats are worth $4500 with how hard it is to find brackets. I agree, $1200 was probably a good deal on brackets.

Here's a set that didn't make reserve at $2225. Probably because the buy it now is $6K. They are complete.... so we know the "core seat" market is NOT $6K.

There is a posting on PP from the seller who advised that the high backed out saying that he typed in the wrong amount (he meant to bid $3,300 - not $33,000
The second high bidder was a fake bidder with a stolen EBay ID.
