911 Carrera 2.7L for sale, what do you think?

    Hello from France,
    From a new menber.
I have spotted that 911 Carrera 2.7L in the US

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...DME:B:EF:US:11

and spoke to the owner by emailing him to have some details about the car, it's not a Euro specs 2.7L with the mechanical injection but an US specs Kjetronic, the car is mint condition with a colour I love, just think (may be too much), will it be sensible according to the European value of the car but in the other end the car have a fantastic conditon to pay 50 000$ for it???

Buy a Euro Carrera instead, like this one.

    Cheers,

Thanks, they look like they have a nice collection of those, cars are located in Germany but the pictures are taken in USA, the best for me would be to get a private buy from US.

I wonder why the Carrera stripe on the driver's door was replaced?

I know this car and can attest to it's very nice condition. The seller is honest. I would be happy to inspect or refer to a local shop if you are interested...
From what I understand, the car has a high percentage of original paint, and the respray was to eliminate the stone/rock chips on the front. I do not think there has been any accident damage, and the strips were replaced on the hood...not the door. AFAIK

I'm not trying to bring the car down (because it's a great looking Carrera) but it's very obvious that the Carrera stripe on the driver's door is not original. The font looks too thin.

    Euro Carrera 2.7

    Hi guys,

just saw that there is some communication about a car I have for sale. John, thanks for the post!

    In regards to the discussion:
    1) This silver Carrera 75 is in Germany and was photographed in Germany right here in my town. Not sure about the comments, but perhaps in regards to another car.
    2) It is a nice and solid car, but it does not have original paint. It has been repainted 18 years ago to the correct silver (936) but not to the highest standard. Presentable but not show!!
    3) I am not sure what the comment about a too thin doorstripe is about. The car has the correct 75 Carrera script on both sides, but I am sure they have been replaced over the years.
    4) The car never had a hood stripe. I have full owners documentation on the car and a PCO confirming matching numbers and options.
    5) It is a correct 911-83 (RS) engine.
    6) Car is ready for inspection and worldwide shipping.

I am looking for a good E or S Coupe perhaps in trade.
    Thanks for your interest,
    Regards,
    Jurgen

I guess I should specify which car I am talking about. I know the Gulf blue car US 74 Carrera mentioned in the now old ebay ad.

Here it is for later reference...
