I'm helping a friend sell this car. I have driven it and inspected it thoroughly, including on my lift, so I'm comfortable that I can describe it accurately.

This car drives and runs (MFI is rough) and I would describe it as an excellent restoration candidate. Judging from its condition and a voluminous folder of records, it was driven a lot, not doted on but cared for -- and not molested. Very original and complete. No signs of collision damage/repair, some rust but nothing serious. Believed to be numbers matching as engine number is in correct sequence, but no CoA yet.

Records back to new indicate one owner from new until 1994, then sold to owner who seldom drove it and traded it to my friend a few weeks ago. My friend is starting a new paint & body shop and he could use the $$$ for the business. I recommended to him that we offer it to this group first.

I'm not a broker and I have no financial interest - just helping a friend.

    Thanks,
    John

    ** Input Needed **

    Hey Guys....

I'm tyring to help a friend sell this car as he is starting a new business and can use the money. This is the only place it has been advertised, and there have been a number of responses, but no sale to date.

I realize this is a Targa and this board likes Coupes better, but I'm surprised that the car hasn't sold quickly. After all, it is an S, it's complete and original, and it's a 2.2. The price seems reasonable to me, but maybe it's too high?

In any event I would really appreciate input from the community as Jeremy is motivated to sell his car.

    Thanks for your help,
    John

P.S. Lots of pictures now posted HERE.
