    FS: 1973 911 E Factory Air/Sport Seats 44k Orig. Miles SoCal

    1973 Porsche 911 E

    VIN # 9113200931
    ENG# 6231468
44,200 Miles (True mileage unknown. Although it drives like a low mileage car, the odometer may have rolled over)
    Gemini Metallic Blue on Black
    5-speed 915 gearbox
    Clean title
    No Accidents or rust

Offered at $59,990...JUST REDUCED TO $52,990

This particular E is a very solid and well-cared for U.S. example. With extremely low original mileage, great options, and over $19k in recent receipts, this is a very collectible car.

Although I wouldn’t exactly call this car a “survivor”, it is pretty damn close. It is obvious that the previous owners always maintained the car and fixed/replaced items as they were needed. You can tell it was lightly used. No service was overlooked.

Everything on this car has been gone through. From rebuilding the brakes to resealing the engine, no expense was spared in making sure that it is mechanically ready to go. Recently, I drove the car about 100 miles and was surprised at how tight and responsive it was.

    Details include:

    Factory “S” package
Original Blaupunkt radio included (CD player currently installed)
6” OEM Fuchs original with new tires
Factory sport seats (original stock seats included as well)
Factory A/C (completely rebuilt with new parts including updated rotary compressor…original compressor is included as well)
Cosmetic repaint of exterior (done some time ago, but very bright and presentable. There are a few nicks and chips from use but nothing unusual)
    Chain tensioners update
    Turbo Valve covers
    Engine reseal
    Complete engine service
Rebuilt MFI and new throttle linkage
    New brakes, tires, and batteries
New muffler and SSI heat exchangers
    Original headliner
Original dash (one small crack that was professionally repaired)
Original factory stock seats are included...one of the frames has a slight bend to it but there are no tears/wear marks
Extra driver side door pocked in excellent condition is included

All books, records, tools, etc. are included

Nice photos. You've got that water on the parking lot technique nailed down but good. Try standing on a ladder; it gives a better photo.

Pre-morphed version of a photo I took at G&W a few years ago. This is the 911R Prototype seen in CA last summer.

    Best,

Correct me if I am wrong, but isnt this the THIRD time this car has been for sale this year alone with three different owners?

  6. #6
    Looks very nice.

Yes, this is the 3rd time this car has been for sale. The current owner is our friend Eade who many of you know. Although he says he is trying to slim down his collection, he has the bug as bad as many of us do and simply falls in love with these cars and buys them. This car really is a wonderful car to drive and for those of you who have seen it, know how nice this car is.

However, this is not a full concours car, but more of a wash and shine PCA driver. Mechanically, this car is tight and all the right money has gone into it. The previous few owners have all invested money to make this car even nicer.

Althought he car was sold to Eade as "original mileage", after some more digging and research, we can not determine that it in fact is a true 44k mileage car. It certainly drives like one. It is very tight and everything feels right.

Since we can't determine the mileage and the records only go back for 7 years and 15k miles, we are adjusting the price to reflect this. So, here is a great opportunity to buy the same great car at a $7k savings!!

    New price is $52,990!
