I saw this 70T sporto today. Not as advertised, repaint evidence all over car, paint on window rubbers, etc. Just thought I would let all know in case anyone is bidding on this car. FYI

He didn`t spell "Porsche " correctly either! Might be a clue to run not walk.

Thank you for the heads up. I was looking at that one!
Thanks from me as well. I was seriously considering bidding on it.
A seller with a zero feedback rating always raises a red flag.
Given the rise in early 911 prices, however, do you all think the end price (US $18,651.00) was on par for a driver Sporto T coupe?
Here is what the car will need. It has body work on the right side, the paint is really tired, and a lot of the car has been repainted. Paint on all the rubber trim, they painted over the gasket between body and front fenders, very cheap repaint. Dash cracked, interior very worn, car was under a tarp, not a car cover when I went to look at it. Owner had told me car was hard to get in gear when car was cold. Car was hot, yet under a cover when I came to see it? I suspect Sporto could be leaking, which can cause it to lock up or be hard to shift. Engine compartment was very dirty and tired looking. He was not your normal Porsche guy, at all. So, figure a correct repaint, dash, mechanicals, new tires, re do alloys, etc. etc., assuming no rust. Battery boxes seemed okay, as did under spare. I did not look under car, as even after he was told by people who looked at the car before me, and told him it had been repainted, he did not call me to say, Hey, I have been told the car has been repainted, do you still want to look at it. Seemed like he was trying to hide the paint issue, what else was he hiding?? I just hope the buyer can do body, paint and mechanicals on his own!Originally Posted by teenchy

Seems like all the money for a T Sporto but it's twin in non nunning condition recently sold for almost 15K so...
I think the signal orange color played a big factor for why the car brought big bucks. I can't remember the last time a signal orange early 911 was on the market. It has been at least a few months since. I guess signal orange is popular and highly desirable color.
Like this one. One year ago this month. I haven't seen many others either.

I had emailed the seller twice via eBay and he didn't answer. I figured you So. Cal. guys would be all over it but, in fact, hadn't seen these postings. The pictures were horrible and with no response from the seller, I didn't pursue it.
