Some kind of happiness is measured out in miles
If the car is as good as it looks, I wouldn't be surprised if it will sell here shortly.
Leaf green is one of my absolute favorites. It is such a nice color and pretty rare.

I used to own the car. It is very nice, wish I'd hung on to it. It has had one complete, high quality repaint, never any rust. The interior is all original, and very near perfect. Miles in the 60s, books, tools, Portland from new.

Ive seen it, yes a good original car for sure, very honest. The interior is very original and the paint is very acceptable, high quality is not the term I would use but very acceptable for sure. The car runs good however mechanicals are tired. The mechanicals are an easy fix compared to finding a good car in a unique color to boot. The car gets my blessing, I would much rather have a car that is great with soft mechanicals than the other way around any day....
Buying a good early 911 is not for price sensitive shoppers. If you cannot separate the value of a good car from its price than your looking for the wrong car. The rarity of these cars and even more rare in acceptable condition does not lend itself to price shopping.
True story, it's just like every other old 911 without a $20K engine rebuild reciept. Or for that matter, a reciept from the wrong shop, which doesn't do you any good either.Originally Posted by schmidt

Spoken like someone is protecting his investment. Value is everything, not only speaking of 911s. If you dont agree, talk to the seller like I have. He tells me he is having trouble selling the car (and is surpised). At that price, I am not surprised at all.Originally Posted by schmidt
Jason, I am in much the same position as you. I have seen two very nice, restored E models (1971 and 1973) sell in the past 2 months for the same money this guy wants for his T -- both with rebuilt mechanicals and bare metal paint. Bottom line, IMO it is way overpriced.
