    Smile Thanksgiving '07

Have been home (and at work) about a week since my annual NorCal Thanksgiving trip... and it's time to post some pics.......

The overnight stops with friends going North were in Bakersfield, Orinda, Placerville, Lincoln, and Chico...

I put about 1200 miles on the '73 using about 1/2 quart of oil and averaged about 16 MPG ... allot of 5th gear close to the speed limit gave me about 18, and with my foot in it... well you know the story.

On my way North from Bakersfield... first stop Buttonwillow Raceway... An SCCA (CalClub) track day...

Next stop was with Marty Diefenbach and family in Orinda CA.

Marty's a motorcycle and Porsche enthusiast and collector.......

While waiting for his project car to arrive at the upholsters we looked at Tom Martenot's new hot rod.... I believe this beautiful little Irish green '67 will soon be for sale...

That last pic is of a cold morning from Stephen Childs balcony...

When I stay at Steve's in Placerville he always has something outrageous to show me ... and something different, unusual, and cool to drive...
    NO EXCEPTION THIS TIME !!!.....

We went down to his lower garage and he uncovered this gem...

A light ivory over red A Carrera coupe, with the 'right' wheels, and a special order factory 'bench seat'.....
