One More Light Question

Can anyone tell me if this is the correct rear fog light as used on Euro versions, and if so, what years it was used on?

I have that light on the back of my car. My dad had a friend that flew for the Air Force back in the mid-70's, and he brought it back from Germany for me. As I recall, he picked it up at a Porsche dealer in the fatherland. But I have no idea how "correct" it might be.

Brian Longs book (Porsche, part II, 71-77) shows it on page 59 on a 2.4l car.
Its a slightly different shape, more rounded.
