    2.4S Engine number

    I have a 1973 S chassis number 126.
Can anybody help me with what engine number the car is born with?

It should be close to 190 to 210. If you want to find out exactly contact Porsche or PCA. If you look at the number of targas and coupes built you can calculate approx. what number the engine should be. This is not the same for sporto's as they have their own engine number series, then the number should be close to the cassis number.

Maybe you could tell us the last 3 numbers in the engine number?

    Original Engine Number

It takes about six weeks, but you can order a Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche Cars North America. They don't have full records on every car, but if you are lucky, the certificate will show build date, color, options, engine number, etc. The order form is attached as a PDF file.
