Thread: Christmas Come Early

    Christmas Come Early

I just bought a new toy. It's the realization of a childhood dream to own one of these bikes - I've been riding for the last four years and this is a significant step forward for me in the hardware department.

    Here's the specs:
1997 Ducati 916 (Red Bull livery)
    14,XXX original miles
    Adult owned - never tracked
    Arrow Exhaust
    Chip
    Carbon Everything

It's loud, fast, and sexy. I take delivery tomorrow.

Here're some pictures from the ad.

    Marco,

I had a 996s for a couple of years. You're gonna love it ....... but be prepared to run from the cops a lot!

    Marco,
Last week, I was talking to a Suzuki tech prepping a GSX-R1000 and quipped, "How long was the lifespan of a typical owner?" His replay came back without hesitation, "About 3 months". I thought he was joking.

Take it easy on Angeles Crest. Take it easy, period.

Very nice scooter. There may be motorcycles that are faster and cheaper, but nothing rides like a Ducati.

    First Duc?

Man... I miss my 900SSie now.
    Torsion Bar Impaired... again.

Marco...congrats ! Tony, say a rosary everyday he leaves the driveway. I've Been "up" and Doown" on 916's. Lots of great fun. Now I do my laps on an Aprilia. Marco, anytime you decide to go to Newcombs, I'd be glad to be your wingman. After 50, I've stopped dragging the knee

Thanks for the kind words, gents. I appreciate the concern and, don't worry, I'm only a jackass in my 911.

Bob - Maybe we need to have a Ducati road trip ... coast to coast!

Curt, you will surely be recieving a Newcombs phone call when the weather turns warm(er).
