    Hello Everyone,
My name is Scott, and I am restoring a 1969 Porsche 911S that belonged to my father. He bought the car when I was 17, back in 1987, and passed away last year. This makes me the fourth owner on record of this vehicle. The car sat for a decade, and was started and driven the first time in 10 years in the last couple of weeks. Got to love German machinery. The process will resume in March or April when the snow melts and we will be able to drive it more regularly and diagnose problems with it. At least it was stored in dry climates and corrosion is to a minimum.
I hope you guys are able to answer stupid questions about the mechanical fuel injection system and other dumb questions that wil most likely arise. I'm happy to let you know how we solve problems that I'm sure will arise. Anyways, I just wanted to say hi, and look forward to communicating with you in the future.

We'll do. Do I need to make a certain number of posts before I can post pictures? It's nice to meet you guys. The car just got buried in the garage until March/ April, when the snow lets up. Were scheduled to get the storm of the century for the next 4 days. It's a signal yellow 911 with a black 60's pleather/ nagahyde interior, and in pretty good shape all things considered. It's going to need gaskets for just about everything, windows, bumpers, headlights, rear lights, etc. Overall, I'd place the ccondition at a 7 exterior and a 6 interior. the doors have a few dings from parking lot parking over the years. The dash is cracking and the driver seat needs to be re done. The 15" fuchs need to be re anodized for a little fading and could use a little buffing on the bright work. Other than that, it's a little champ of a car.

Condition is subjective and not the purpose of this board. It is just great to see another 911 back on the road and one that has been in your family for a good numbers of years.

Welcome, you have come to the right place... sounds like a great car!! '69 is a great year for the S (well, there really wasn't a bad year), and signal yellow is one of the best colors you could have. Looking forward to seeing some pics. If you haven't already, you may want to focus on the essentials (brakes, fuel sys, timing...) to get her properly running so you can really become familiar with the car... then tackle the cosmetic issues.

Glad to hear it is staying in the family!
