    Showroom picture 911 11-64

I recently bought a '65 poster of Ebay. The seller also offered a showroom picture from the end of 1964 when the 911 was first introduced.
The funny thing is that the poster is hanging on the wall in the picture.

    Thought you would enjoy this:

The picture is taken in Stuttgart in November 1964 by Porsche.

    Question Poster

Funny saying on that poster, I have one and it says " A new Coupe for the man who has "arrived"" I guess back then they never intended on selling a 911to a women?

Hmmm... Across the street is a white Mercedes sedan and it looks to me like a 1978 or later 240/300 diesel. Beyond the trees in the background behind that MB appears to be a pick up truck with a cap.

I think you are mistaken about the MBZ it appears to be an older 65 220SE coupe model

The architecture and design of the showroom space was way ahead of it's time too. Timeless... like the car.

I agree showroom looks as good and up to date as any today. Cool picture. Good wallpaper for the new year.

    Neil,
I thought is was an old MB as well, on closer look it appears to be a 2 door Opel.

I would say it's not a Mercedes. It is definitely a two-door, and the rear window shape is wrong for a Mercedes two-door from the fifties or sixties.
