Mark C. Sandman you are a cheat! Sold the car elsewhere although I was the winner! Buyer: lolomann ( 180) Mar-19-04 14:31

Auction stated that this car was listed locally, I am sorry he misunderstood.

Coincidentally, I spent about an hour on the telephone night before last with Colby Sandman, one of the owners of Luxury Motorcars www.luxurymotorcars.biz discussing a different Porsche they happen to be representing. He did an exhaustive panel by panel, part by part walk around of the car I am interested in and described in great detail every nuance, both good and bad. I found him to be very honest and forthcoming in this situation although I have never met him, visited the dealership or purchased anything from them, for what that's worth.
When we finished our conversation I felt that I knew the car, at least cosmetically, as if I had been there in person and spent a good deal of time going over it myself.

Ed:
I prefer dealers that list VIN numbers on late model cars. Using CARFAX is a great way to find vehicles that have done the "world tour" which keeps you from wasting time on the phone.
I recently tracked a car cross-country and back with intermediate stops along the way. It then went to auction. I had no interest at that point as something was rotten. CARFAX couldn't prove anything but reading between the lines (lots of paper left everywhere and finally an auction) turned me off.
With so many late model cars floating around you can afford to be picky.
Good luck,
Tom

I believe this car is owned by Mark Setzer up in the Bay area. We have had many dinners with Mark and his wife. Super coupe and a very nice car. I'm sure whoever buys it won't be dissapointed. The last time I saw it was shortly after he bought it at Treffethen 2005. It looked great...but I tend to like Irish Green.
Good luck.

Has anyone seen the S in person on the showroom floor? Does the car have 15x6 rims, or 15x7's? The ebay ad showed 15x7 in the Q and A section, but then when I asked Colby, he said 15x6. When I asked Sam about the MFI, he read the numbers off it and said "019". When I later asked Colby to do the same thing, he at first said 019 too, then after what seemed like a 10 second pause... " wait. It's 013. Yeah, 013." How do you confuse a 3 as a 9?
