Thread: german plates

    german plates

    I went off topic on this one because I am an idiot and lost track of a much older informative thread regarding german license plates. I do recall that, and understand that, these plates can be evaluated or decoded to provide information. With that in mind please assist me with this one:

    White oval with black piant on the raised areas...there is a raised small circle with "HAUPTZOLLANT REUTLINGEN" written. There is a black bird like image in the middle of that.

    Secondly, centered at top is 855 printed. And then centered below that is Z - 3023.

    wikipedia is your friend, even if you go off topic
    sounds like former special plate for vehicles to be exported - no longer in use. It was replaced by the Ausfuhrkennzeichen in the 1980s
