Sport Seat Experts: Correct position of slider locker handle on tilting frame

In contrast to most examples I've seen in this sforum the handles for the slider locker mechanism on my frames are both on the left hand side of driver's and passenger's seat. On most frames the handle for the driver's seat is on the right.

So what's wrong with my tilting frame, is it possibly a reworked passenger's??

    THX for you input.

You probably have a passenger side bottom frame with a drivers side top frame.
If you are lucky, someone else has the opposite.

Otherwise you will just have to have it cut off and weld it on the other side.
Not to big a deal for a welder, I think. However, you will end up with a wrongly positioned seat belt mount, because those also differ left and right.

The other approach would be to cut of the tilt handle and weld it to the other side of the frame so that you will have 2 passenger side frames. The passenger side frames are harder to find, because a lot of cars only had a Sport Seat on the drivers side mounted. So you should be able to trade it against a drivers side one.

In fact I have two passengers' frames with one having the tilt handle welded to the other side.

I'll probably go for the swap option, so if somebody wants to trade his driver's base against my passenger's, please contact me.

    THX for your help,
