Hello: I know I have the pump but I will have to check on the stacks. Give me a couple of days. My back is still a little sore. Arg ;-) Thanks, Eric

Those are from a sporto. They will still work, but you would have to plug two decent size holes on the side of one throttle body (red circles). The holes were for check valves for a vacuum connection to the sporto. The front linkage was also different because it had connections on both sides of the throttle body (yellow circle). I am not sure what you would do there. Maybe it doesn't matter?

BTW, a 2.2T head flows more air than a 2.2E head because of the turbulence created at the E's injector port. I can't find my data to quantify, but it does make a difference. I would suspect these throttle bodies would suffer the same effect in two of the intakes. I guess my point is:
    1. Keep looking for non-sporto TB's.
    2. If you use these, plug the holes completely to give a smooth surface on the inside. (same goes for using MFI heads for carbs)

    Sporto TB's

Thanks for the clear description of the differences. Well, I will just have to wait and see what happens, but I suspect I will be outbid anyway - which I think is a good thing now .

BTW, what is a fair price I should expect to pay for a good pair of TB's and stacks that have all pieces and can be rebuilt without trouble.

    TB question

Owner said that these do not have the hole in check valve ports. Is this a case of someone already sealing the ports or are the ports cast into the TB's as a standard with the sportos being machined afterwards?

Yea, I asked the owner and he said they weren't sporto. Here's a pic of a 2.2E throttle body. You can see the bosses were there, but no hole. Even the front linkage hole doesn't go all the way through. Maybe the 2.4s were different.

Pricing is tricky. I see them go for around $300 for a set in unknown condition. I guess it's just a matter of how much they are worth to you.

I wasn't trying to keep you away from the sporto ones, even though I need a set.

    Good luck!

    Still Looking

It looks like the ones on eBay are getting out of reach. Anyone with some stacks, TB's and pump. Eric, let me know what you find.
