    Aluminum dash trim

Are the aluminum dash trim pieces bright anodized finished or chrome plated? I seem to recall that its anodized. My trim piece on the glove box has a few scratches that kinda bug me. What repair options do I have? The scratches are barely deeper than a surface scratch to my eyes. Thanks

    3 dash trim options

Option number #1 pay $700 US for NOS trim and replace your original trim and vinyl, the vinyl has to be fitted to the new dash trim.

#2 Sand, polish and anodize your existing trim if you don't bend it taking it off the dash that would be amazing.

#3 Live with what you have, replacing the trim and removing the heater controls, radio, dash lights, emergency blinker is not easy.

    Thanks Ron

Thanks for the suggestions. The only scratched piece is the one on the glove box, and I have a spare I bought on EBay. Its got a few scratches, less than mine, so I might try and restore it through the sand and polish approach, followed by a trip to Anobrite. This is overly obsessive for sure as there are other needs that are more important, but at least I can do most of it myself, in the garage... Funny thing is that without my reading glasses on, I have no chance whatsoever of seeing the scratches.
