Well, some of those pictures were taken before some of the work was done. The headrests look to have been recovered and don't match well with the seats. The jambs, trunk and underbody look entirely original to me. I love the color combo. License panel in aluminum???? If it's been painted I'd say exterior spray only and looks well done.

Downside is the engine serial number. I'd want more info on the engine condish. HEs/Monty is a bonus.

Perlon??? Hopefully that was a typo and the correct carpet was installed otherwise the "perfect 70 interior" panels/pockets are going to look offset.
I'd want to see updated photos. Looks like it was cared for well.

All in all, If the paint turned out original on the exterior, barring unseen surprises and all mechanicals are in fine nick I'd say fairly priced.

Like Michael said, looks like a good car with a great color combo at fair price. Not sure if the non matching numbers cars will have the same rice in value as the matching numbers cars.

I think I recognice the sellers name, but not sure from where?

Was this the same car that sold on Pelican for 40k recently? That car was an ex- Jim Newton restoration with beige RS door panels and sport seats. It was a neat looking car the few times it was driven to events in the North East. Newton had swapped out the motor in the 80's along with drivers side paint work. Maybe these 2 cars went down the assembly line in Stuggart around the same time. Nothing like a MFI "S" hauling ass at full RPM!

    Nicely written ad.

Looks like a nice car to me; seller appears to be knowledgable. Don't have a clue what the motor does to the value.

The seller is Board member JPLonghood. The car looks unmolested and well presented. It's nice to see a seller leave some of the more desirable items like tool kit and aluminum decklid with the car for a change.

Sure looks like the same car but minus the sport seats. I would want those seats.

    Wow. News travels fast.

This is my car. I have done quit a few things (mostly interior) to bring it back to correct.

The paint work was done to the passenger side, other than that it appears -and was presented to me - as original. The aluminum license panel is there and I do not see a nick or ding in it.

I called Porsche, and after a little more effort than should be required, found out the original engine number and that the correct seats are comfort seats - NOT sport seats. And yes, the sport seats and tilt mechanisms will be for sale.

The interior I had was without headrests. The photos you see are the headrests from the sport seats. Headrests are being recovered with reclaimed vinyl are currently in the works and will be in the car when its delivered.

I will post more info later. I just don't have time now.
