Have family that came here via ellis island? find out!

Anyone with a family who came here via ellis island will enjoy this site. you can actually see the original ship's manifest and view a picture of the ship along with details about when it was built, etc.

It does require that you sign up to view the records but it's free.

Those of you with Americanized versions of old world names may need to get creative in your search. For example my name, Quisgard, gives results under Qvistgaard and several other versions that start with 'K'.
