Opening of Heuer Museum on January 30th

I was in Switzerland last week, for the opening of TAG-Heuer's new Museum.

The fellas on this forum have shown some interest in the old Heuers (and old Breitlings, as well), so I thought that some of you might like to see my Blog from the trip -- http://www.onthedash.com/docs/THMuseumOpening.html

48 hours in Switzerland . . . 7,200 words in the Blog . . . and I can't even say that I saw any 911 content in the Museum, except for the shared "Carrera" name.

    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks to a couple of good friends here I have become infected with the vintage watch disease so I have been lurking on your Heuer forum for a little while and followed your blog while you were in CH for the opening. It really is special that you were invited over for such a big event. A just reward I think for your passion for Heuer timepieces.

I see you met Nic Green. I just bought a very nice Siffert Autavia from Nic. I will say he was great to deal with and I am very pleased with the watch. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a vintage Heuer as well as other types of watches. He has a 'pre-Professional' Speedmaster that is very tempting.

A digital in the Traveling Squad?! Well, that was my initial reaction anyway. Then I read on and I suppose it does deserve its place

    Great job Jeff!
