How to import a race car

Anyone imported a race car into the US recently? Did you have to deal with EPA? DOT? DMV? Other?

    Depends on Age

Any car over 25 years old is exempt from EPA/DOT, anyway, and DMV is not an issue unless you are going to try and register it for street use.

If it's less than 25 years old, you probably won't have any issues either, as I'm sure there is some exemption for this sort of thing.

Check their websites and call them on the phone. As long as you pay your Customs fees and taxes, I'm sure they'll be happy.

Anyone know what to do if the race car has no title or VIN?

    Bill of Sale

"Real" racecars, built as such from the ground up, don't usually have VINs and titles...

Do you hear that? That's everybody running to get to their keyboards and ask me, "Then why do RSR's have VIN's?"

Anyway, to anser your question, you just need a bill of sale with supporting information and contact info for the seller.
