    Sprechen Sie deutsch ?

After a looong time (20 + years or so ) , I have decided to take up German classes again at a local evening college.
My first class was last Monday and it was interesting just how much I actually remembered from the last classes.
    My aims are
    - to go to the Essen Classic show next year - '09 and be able to say more than 'Sprechen Sie englisch bitte ? ' or 'ein beer bitte' (a popular phrase with some Australians ! ) .
    - from time to time I see on e bay some Sport Auto or Auto Motor und Sport road tests of 911s from the '63 901 protos to the '73 RSs.I would like to buy and be able to read these issues.
    - I would like to be able to read some of the German Early 911 boards and maybe participate / have new parts sources.
    - Question to the German speakers on this board - can you give me a link for the most similar Early 911 / 911 S board that is run in Germany and is similar to our own excellent Early 911 S board ?

    Vielen Danke in advance
    Dennis.

    Hi Dennis,
I would say elferteam.de is the most popular here in Germany, but nothing beats our board here in terms of knowledge and shere size.

Why not make a date for an international meeting of the early911Sregistry at Essen? A lot of the German members will be there anyway. I am located one hour north of Essen, if someone needs a place to stay, no problem...

The show is really amazing and worth to go.

Thanks for your tips on the sites Karim and John.
    Michael,
At the moment I am thinking of staying in Essen hopefully as close as I can to the halls as I understand there is more than one day's sightseeing at the show.
Our local 901 Register president Phil Lack went last year and said it would take 2 + days to see everything.
Good idea about having a meeting point - if I am staying at a hotel/whatever near the show, maybe we can make that a meeting point along with some DDK(UK) members who also frequent this board !
    Thanks for your offer !
This gives me something more to plan for til March '09.

    Cheers,
    Dennis.
