thru-the-hood filler using stock tank inlet?

    hi all

has anyone ever done a thru-the-hood filler using the stock tank inlet? i'm converting my RS replica to 911ST spec with f/g fenders that do not have a filler opening.

most thru-the-hood fillers i have seen involve welding a new, central, inlet pipe to the fuel tank. anybody have any other options?

i went thru my stash of pics and only found this car - whick looks like it may connect to the original filler inlet.

There was a source for repro caps and filler necks, that required welding and fabrication, but I lost the link. Any ideas?
