Fresh air vent dash controls on a 71

On my 71T my fresh air/heater controls on the dash work but I would like it to look a little better. Has anyone had any luck in cleaning up/painting the control unit. Any ideas would be great!
    Thanks in advance, Mark

Unless you do a complet overhaul of this unit I would clean only with a vinyl cleaner product.
I would not do any further change or apply paint to it. Patina is not a bad thing...
Keep it original even its convenience and efficiency is not perfect for todays driver's exigence..
